Deemed every bit as vital to the team’s success as higher-profile linemen Richard Seymour and Vince Wilfork, Warren received a new deal that could end up exceeding $36 million, with at least $17.5 million guaranteed. After a breakthrough season in 2006, however, the 26-year-old saw his tackles and sack totals take a significant dip this season. His tackles dropped from 117 (66 solo) in 2006 to 83 (47 solo), while sacks fell from 7 to 4.
