Patriots fill holes while trading down...

When you look at what the Patriots drafted while trading down, you see a lot of value from their draft.

Pick 22:

Pick 22 turned into CB Devin McCourty, WR Taylor Price, and TE Aaron Hernandez

Patriots trade down from 22 to 24 to 27, where they draft CB Devin McCourty

For the first drop, Patriots received Third-round pick (No. 90), and drafted WR Taylor Price

For the second drop, Patriots received Fourth-round pick (No. 113), and drafted TE Aaron Hernandez

Pick 47:

Pick 47 turned into ILB Brandon Spikes, P Zoltan Mesko, and Carolina's 2011 second round pick

Patriots trade down 11 spots from 47 to 58, then again from 58 to 62, where they drafted ILB Brandon Spikes

For the first drop, Patriots receive Third-round pick (No. 89), which they traded for 2011 second round pick from Carolina

For the second drop, Patriots receive Fifth-round pick (No. 150), and drafted P Zoltan Mesko

Pick 42:

Patriots traded up from 44 to 42, and drafted TE Rob Gronkowski (filling a big need)

Patriots give up Sixth-round pick (No. 190)
